We're a team from the Damascus countryside who build and sell to German building standards. We work for our neighbours in Syria – and for anyone, anywhere in the world, who wants a home or an investment here.
It's all in the name
Bau is the German word for building. Sham is what Syrians call Damascus – home. We put the two together because that's exactly what we do: build with German precision and patience, in a place whose every stone we know and love.
We started with a small team. Today we work across three companies – real estate, construction and investment – and what holds them together is simple: clear paperwork, prices in writing and deadlines we respect.
Many of the people who call us live far from Damascus. For them, we're their eyes and hands here: we visit, photograph and follow up, and keep them in the picture – literally – until it feels as if they never left.
What you can count on
Clean paperwork
We never list a property before checking the title deed and any power of attorney. If we can't prove it, we don't sell it.
Real deadlines
The handover date is written into the contract. No verbal promises, and no “tomorrow” that never comes.
Named materials
Every material is listed by name and spec, and photographed during the build – so you know what's inside your walls.
After handover
Handing over the keys isn't goodbye. If a defect shows up in our work, we're the first to fix it.
